In recent years, infrared cameras have been widely used for surveillance in crime-prevention and anti-disaster applications, in infrared ther-mography for temperature measurement and as in-vehicle cameras for safety purposes, as shown in Table 1.rnDemand is increasing especially for infrared cameras designed for the 8 to 12 μm wavelength band, corresponding to human body temperatures, specifically for human detection. Optical elements such as the windows and lenses used in these infrared cameras must meet certain high transmittance requirements in a broad wavelength band, and environmental resistance requirements in some applications, in order to ensure recognition accuracy.
