Bahrain's arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard (Asry) reported continued high demand for its services in the second quarter, following increases in both ships repaired and volume of work during the first quarter of this year. For the second three months (April 1 to June 31), Asry repaired or converted 25 vessels, with work continuing on the conversion of the Abouzar 1200 from a derrick ship into a deepwater pipelay barge. This contract has now been completed.
