Oresundsvarvet's newly widened and lengthened graving dock is now, after nearly two years in use, well established in the shiprepair and conversion market. A large proportion of the tonnage using the dock requires this greater width, and the need is steadily growing. Curiously, in the first two weeks of this year, three vessels with a total gross tonnage in excess of 100,000 were docked - the ships being Fosen/Bruces Shipyard's newbuilding, the 31,500 gt Carthage, Stena Line's 38,756 gt Stena Scandinavia and Nordo-Link's 33,163 gt Lubeck Link.
