About 2,000 visitors and exhibitors visited the Bonn town hall for the 28th AFCEA Bonn TechExpo in May. The event was bigger than ever before, with 111 exhibitors showing their solutions for the armed forces and homeland security organizations. This year's symposium focus topic was interoperability. High-ranking speakers of the German armed forces, NATO, federal police and aca-demia presented their views and solutions on this topic. Maj. Gen. Erich Staudacher, GEAF, chapter president, stated: "All the technological solutions are important, yet the lack of communications makes interoperability a challenging task."
