U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon recently agreed that the United States will provide Israel with anti-radiation missiles, advanced radars for fighter jets, refueling tankers and the V-22 Osprey, which has not been supplied to any other nation. The new systems, along with Israel's participation in the Joint Strike Fighter program, will help ensure that Israel maintains air superiority for the next generation, and the V-22 will provide the Israeli air force with a long-range, high-speed maritime search-and-rescue capability to deal with a range of threats and contingencies, according to Hagel.
