The author enters a surreal world of aliens and light sabers as he models his Spiderman decoder ring in Nucleus Bridgepoin's model-driven "action language." A cell phone rings in the dark-a serious, unfamiliar ring, the first few notes of Bach's "Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor." I crack a confused eyelid open, certain that I'd programmed it to Otis Redding's "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay." "Hello?" I move the earbud closer. "This is Commander Mathesar," says a metallic voice. "Star alien from Galaxy Quest, that hysterical Tim Allen movie of last night." "Brazxfffnf," I snore off hopefully. "Wait!" the voice commands. "We need you to make some updates to the Spiderman decoder ring. The Daliks are attacking our galaxy!" "Tsnhnfff ..." I snore. "The Spiderman decoder ring was only a fiction I used to liven up my September 2004 Software Development article. It doesn't exist... brngggggff..."
