摘要

3D-printed models do look good but lack realism due to lack of sound. This paper provides a print initiator an easy workflow interface for adding relevant acoustics (sound) to a model whose 3D printing is being triggered. Adding acoustics (sound) adds value to a 3D model by adding a life-like experience into a raw model. The following work presents an interactive workflow through which a print requestor can add a logical and desired acoustic (sound) in one of the following ways: 1. select a sound from her own database 2. record or create a new sound on the spot 3. select a relevant or matching sound from a sound library offered by the system The selected sound is subsequently inserted into a micro controller chip; the chip is insulated and positioned and placed in a 3D model. Additionally, the interfaces through which the inserted sound is triggered through any of external factors (like touch or push button) are discussed. Sound is then produced from the 3D Model.
