摘要

Adsorption isotherms were obtained, which describe the one-layer and multilayer coverage of the surface by gases. The author shows their consistency with physically representable requirements for the process under study and the possibility of modelling all known types of adsorption isotherms. The analysis of polymolecular adsorption carried out on this basis made it possible to show that in some cases this process has two singular points with respect to pressure. A method is proposed for the straightforward calculation determination of the overall coverage of the surface with a multilayer coating and also of the coverage of each of the layers, which leads to certain conceptions of the structure of the adsorbed layer. The relationships obtained can be used to determine the adsorbent surface and the number of layers of gas adsorbed on it.
