When I was an undergraduate I wanted very much to learn electronic circuit design, but I couldn''t. The instructors of the required electronic circuit design courses I was compelled to take seemed to be showing off, and on that basis I certainly didn''t choose their followon elective courses. Everything in graduate school was elective, and not wishing to jeopardize my grade-point average I merely audited the electronic circuit design courses. Again, I came away with the impression that the instructors were highly competent magicians.
