Paper machine, steel mill and other extreme industrial environments require accelerometer installations that are built to survive. Material considerations for sensor housings, cabling and connectors must deal with high temperatures, harsh chemicals and steam. High temperatures, electrostatic discharge and many sources of signal interference must also be considered when designing electronics for such environments. Proper selection and installation of permanent accelerometer systems will ensure many years of trouble free vibration monitoring.
