The space technology in India is a comprehensive programme from launch vehicles through satellites to grass-root applications for socio-economic development and train- ing. The education and training are addressed to develop state-of-art expertise at different levels. The educational programmes in all facets of space science and technology are offered in many Indian educational institutions at post graduate an research specialisa- tion levels. Besides, short term courses on specialised topics are also offered by opera- tional, research and development institutions.
