摘要

Magnetic effects on combustion have been investigated in microgravity to evaluate its effect quantitatively. Flame shape and flame color in a decreasing magnetic field were recorded by video camera and chroma meter. Based on these observation, the criteria above which steady flame can be sustained even in microgravity were determined. Further, flame length and its color were quantitatively determined as a function of the Magnetic field strength. The results showed that the presence of magnetic field promoted Combustion significantly.
