ew have analyzed the effect of stress raised by exposure of BALB/c mice to microgravity on the susceptibility to herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) infection. Mice exposed to microgravity (10μg) for 10s showed the decreased survival from HSV-1 infection Murine interferon-α/β (MuIFNα/β) administration to mice after exposure to micro- gravity partly diminished the decreased survival. After repeated exposures to micro- gravity, mice showed the tolerance to the stress.
