NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine and SpaceX CEO Eton Musk said they agreed that commercial crew development was their highest priority. Bridenstine visited SpaceX's headquarters nearly two weeks after criticizing the company for delays in the program. The two said after the Oct. 10 meeting that they agreed getting Crew Dragon flying as soon as possible was their top priority. A crewed test flight of the spacecraft could take place as soon as the first quarter of 2020, Bridenstine said, although issues that come up in abort tests and parachute development could delay that. NASA is considering buying a backup Soyuz seat in the wake of commercial crew delays with SpaceX and Boeing.
