An Orbital ATK Antares rocket successfully launched a Cygnus cargo spacecraft Nov. 12 after a one-day delay. The Antares lifted off from Wallops Island, Virginia, placing the Cygnus OA-8 spacecraft into orbit. A launch attempt the day before was scrubbed in the final minutes of the countdown when a private plane strayed into restricted airspace near the launch site. The Cygnus vessel, carrying more than 3,300 kilograms of cargo, arrived at the International Space Station early Nov. 14.
