Flush with cash and looking for ways to increase its debt level, the question for the world's largest commercial satellite fleet operator is: Where will it strike next? In recent months, SES Chairman Ro-main Bausch has raised multiple possi-bilities for new spending. Among them are buying a mobile satellite services company; developing an S-band joint venture for mobile satellite television outside Europe; building an all-Ka-band satellite for consumer broadband in Europe; and taking advantage of competitors' debts to purchase one or more orbiting satellites on the cheap.
