Bart reijnen (above) is appointed director of Astrium's new site in Bremen, Germany. He also will be head of orbital systems and space exploration within the Astrium Space Transportation business unit. In both roles he succeeds MICHAEL MENKING, site director since 2010 and head of orbital systems and space exploration activities since 2004. In his new role, Reijnen is responsible for activities relating to the area of human spaceflight and space exploration. This includes anything to do with the operation and utilization of European international space station components, including the Automated Transfer Vehicle.
