A number of tests on a heat pipe simulator are being performed to optimise the concentration and the temperature range. A set of commercial heat pipes will be filled with aqueous solutions with the appropriate alcohol concentrations and tested with laboratory apparatus in order to compare their performances with the conventional commercial water heat pipes. Micro-gravity experiments on-board satellites will be performed within the Italian Space Agency microsatellite program.
