After a 16 day journey covering more than 16 million miles the Space Shuttle Endeavour and her six man crew glided to a safe night-time landing on 1 June 2011 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. The spectacular STS-134 mission marked the end of Endeavour's spaceflight career. It was the penultimate flight of the Shuttle programme and the 25th and final one for the youngest orbiter in NASA's Shuttle fleet. The all-male, all veteran crew was led by commander Mark Kelly (47) on his fourth space flight, along with pilot Greg 'Box' Johnson (49) and mission specialists Mike Fincke (44), Drew Feustel (45), Greg Chamitoff (48) and Roberto Vittori (46), an ESA astronaut from Italy who became the last non-NASA astronaut to fly on a Shuttle mission. This was the first Shuttle flight for Fincke, a veteran space flier, and Vittori. Both astronauts had previously flown to space atop Russian rockets for missions to the International Space Station (ISS).
