This paper deals with the study of waves in an isotropic pom- and thermoelastic plate under plane stress conditions. Pertinent governing equations are combined and the frequency equation is obtained. For numerical purposes, we consider three materials, namely, bone, sandstone saturated with kerosene, and sandstone saturated with water. The phase velocity against the wave number is computed and the results are presented graphically.
