There is a continuous discussion about the introduction of the Euro in Hungary, in my diploma work 1 gave an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of this introduction, based on the different documents and available materials. The thick of the preparation is still in front in Hungary, in the policy of the Hungarian National Bank (HNB) and the monetary politics the EU requirements are taken in account, since the HNB became a member of the ESCB in May 2004. The advantages mentioned above will only show when the Euro is actually introduced. Some of them (forexample the growing access) depend on the conditions of the admission, and how Hungary fulfills it's conditions.%Szakdolgozatomban, ami a jelenlegi cikkem alapját képezi, az euró magyarországi bevezetésének feltételeit és hatásait vizsgáltam. Mivel a tanulmány 2004 tavaszán készült, a cikkben még csak tagjelölt országokként említett államok mára már a május 1-i csatlakozással Uniós tagokká váltak.
