This article introduces the main concepts of genetical modification, the effects of genetical modifications in plant improvement and production of food industry raw materials, shows the anxieties that arise regarding consumption of food products with genetically modified ingredients, introduces the EU and USA regulations in this field and their practical application and introduces the main questions of the same regulations in Hungary.
