摘要

Arriving in the small village of Midhurst, on a cold sunny afternoon to attend the Bays-water Conference on 'Managing Complexity in Organisations'. I found myself contemplating what the week ahead held in store for me. What had I come to learn and would I be successful at this? This paper is a reflection of what I learnt in relation to the value of 'double tasking' and how this enriched my understanding of group interactions on a number of levels. It surmises how my personality has been affected and how it felt to take part in the conference as an action researcher. It has enhanced my understanding of the research that I wish to undertake.
