Mesdan SpA of Puegnago del Garda, Italy, is a manufacturer of testing equipment for quality control (QC) laboratories and makes splicers to join yarns without knots. The portfolio of the Mesdan-Lab division comprises equipment for testing: 1. perforations; 2. strength (up to 50 kN); 3. fatigue (cycle testing); 4. stretch recovery and elongation; 5. bursting and tearing; 6. air and water permeability; 7. absorption of water vapour; 8. static charge; 9. wear and abrasion (Martindale), and pilling; 10. flammability; 11. colour-fastness. The division is also the exclusive European distributor for Thermetrics of Seattle, Washington, USA, supplying its equipment to measure thermal and physiological comfort including: sweating guarded hot-plates; mannikins for thermal testing; mannikins for assessing comfort in vehicle cabins; mannikins for testing the comfort and moisture-management properties of automobile seats.
