A UK manufacturer of high- performance nonwovens has announced plans to double its capacity by the middle of 2015. Technical Fibre Products (TFP) of Kendal says a "significant" capital investment is to be used to develop and install a state-of-the-art forming line based on its proprietary wetlaid technology. As well as extending the company's capacity to meet the increasing demand across all its markets, the new line, the company's third at the site, will be able to make fabrics in excess of 2 m in width.
