Only I % of all the companies manufacturing in the USA export anything, and of that small proportion almost 60% export to only one other country. As far as textiles are concerned, near-neighbours Canada, Mexico and Honduras are the leading destinations for US goods, according to the US Consul General for Barcelona, Spain, Greggory D. Crouch. Crouch was speaking at the opening of the Industrial Fabrics Association International's (IFAI's) Advanced Textiles Europe 2011 conference,which it ran on 24-26 September 201 I,in Barcelona, Spain, at the same time as the ITMA 2011 textile machinery exhibition.
