摘要

Applications of composites in the automotive industry, especially for heavy trucks and buses, will not only reduce vehicle weights (potentially contributing to reduced fuel consumption and increased payload),but also add strength, stiffness, durability and corrosion resistance to components. Composites can provide lighter but stronger automobile parts. Textile structure-reinforced composites have been used as automobile body materials. Increased use relies on improvements in manufacturing processes, reductions in costs and the development of higher performance materials.
