Kusumgar Corporates of India has set up a joint venture with SEAL (Saati Protection) of the Saati Group, Italy, to manufacture and market protective textiles and composites for the Indian and southeast Asian market.rnThe 50:50 joint venture has started with an initial investment of Rs80 million (about US$ 1.77 million) and will enjoy a weaving capacity of 120 000 square metres of the fabric a month. A process house with a capacity of four million square metres a year is also being set up as part of the project. Machinery from leading builders, including Dornier and Benninger, has been brought in and commercial production is expected to begin by the end of March 2010.
