TencelWeb is the name given to a new technology that allows the direct manufacture of cellulosic nonwoven webs from a spinning solution of lyocell, according to Lenzing's Mirko Einzmann. Given the drive towards alternatives to petrochemical-based raw materials for the manufacture of nonwovens, the method has tremendous potential, Einzmann told delegates at the 49th Man-made Fiber Conference held in Dornbirn, Austria, on 15-17 September 2010.
