Asian exhibitor numbers at Techtextil continued to climb despite the economicrnproblems in the world and the existence of two satellite events dedicated to thernregion. The quality of products they are offering is also improving, says Vicky Sung.rnUndeterred by the economic downturn, Asian participation at Techtextil this year reached a record high of 133, a 24% increase on the 107 from two years ago. Unsurprisingly, then, a good number of these were exhibiting for the first time. This growth continues the trend from the 2005 to 2007 shows, when exhibitor numbers increased by 19%~i and should been seen in the context that there are now two regional Techtextil's serving Asia directly: Techtextil India and CINTETechtextil China. Another important,continuing trend is that the quality of the products exhibited by Asian companies has been improving over the years. No doubting then that Asian manufacturers of technical textiles are set to grow in quality and quantity.
