In 2009, the EATP estimates total world trade in PP staple fibers as around 92,000 tons, with a value of around € 130 million. The 68 countries in the EATP database imported 74,300 tons of PP staple fibers in 2009 (ex cluding the very large volume of intra-EU trade), valued at € 101.6 million. However, there are many small importing countries not covered which in total account for a large trade volume.
