How does your new school year look? If your school system is like ours, it spent June surveying stakeholders, July developing plans for opening schools for the 2020-21 school year, and August/September implementing those plans. Most of the collaborating that went on was completed via technology. Zoom became a gathering place for meetings and a verb; "I Zoomed today with..." These meetings provided a way for those involved in a student's education to meet, exchange ideas, teach, remediate, and stay connected. One of our goals as teachers, regardless of our subject area, is to help our students become digitally and technologically literate. Though there will be challenges, this school year offers new and exciting opportunities for teaching and learning as we meet that goal.
