I decided to do this story after hearing [Fred Gilbert] being interviewed on the CBC. It hadn't really been covered in the print press at that point, and I knew it was the kind of story that would drive our readers completely insane, which is always the best reason to write any story, as we all know. Most readers, judging from some of the response to the online story, couldn't believe we would even entertain Gilbert's point of view.
