UPC Romania's cable networks cover 200 towns and cities, including the capital, Bucharest. The company offers TV, Internet access and telephony via cable, and direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV. It is a subsidiary of cable group Liberty Global International (LGI), which expanded its Romanian cable operations in October 2005 with the US$407.1 million (€260.1 million) purchase of Astral Telecom.
