The graduating students of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Institute of Textiles and Clothing presented last month their final collections before an audience of more than 2,400 and a panel of judges. The show began with Stella Leung's collection Kyotokyo, an eclectic mix of materials, printed images and details inspired by Japan. This collection in eyecatching red, black and white captured the imagination with details such as a part kite, part lantern style 'fishtail' with a 3D effect projecting from the skirt of the model.
