In its efforts to maintain export growth in these troubled times of global uncertainties, the Indian government is adopting a seven-point strategy that includes extending the interest subsidy program for selected product groups until the end of March 2013 and enhancing the scope of the zero duty export promotion capital goods (EPCG) scheme.These measures were adopted following talks between the finance minister and the minister of commerce, industry and textiles.
