September 13 to 15 saw the premium upholstery weavers and their customers once again converge on Brussels for the third edition of MoOD (Meeting only Original Designs) at the Brussels Expo. It was a more compact exhibition than 2010, shrinking by one hall to three, but still having about the same number of exhibitors. Attendance was 7,300, 10.7% less than last year. Most exhibitors, however, were pleased with the calibre of trie attendees ana that even though there were fewer visitors, what seemed to be missing were more of the casual unfocused people. A textile fair of this calibre continues to draw worldwide visitors, but 80% of the visitors were European, with Asians about 11% and North Americans 4%. The large open-to-buys were common throughout all regions.
