The polyester staple fibre committee of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) wants the government to abolish import duty on polyester staple fibre (PSF) as well as all raw materials for the textile industry, because the duty works in favour of foreign manufacturers of polyester yarn and against local polyester fibre producers.
