During a Rieter symposium in the southern Indian city of Coimbatore recently, the factory manager of KKP Textiles, Ellappan Rajavel, received a golden plate inscribed "3 000th RSB in India" from Juergen Mueller, the product manager for Drawframes at Rieter Ingolstadt GmbH, Germany, for its new RSB-D 221. This double-head auto-leveller drawframe which is branded by KKP Textiles as a piece of "marvel engineering" is produced in Rieter's own factory near Pune, India, where the Indian ring spinning machine is also manufactured.
