Labour cost is a factor determining price which fuels competition. This 44-nation study finds that strong price competition, among others, is eroding the positioning of many companies and countries. Cost factor has become the most powerful driving force in the open market competition which is being fuelled by the globalisation revolution currently sweeping economies across the world. This essentially is the finding of the Werner International Management Consultants that made a comparison of the hourly labour cost in the primary textile industry in 44 countries.
