The second ITMA Asia provided ACIMIT, the Association which represents about 200 Italian textile machinery producer companies, organised, in collaboration with ICE, the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, with an opportunity to publicise its successes. During its press conference, Paolo Banfi, Chairman of ACIMIT, emphasised the importance of the Trade Fair for the entire sector, this being backed up by the significant number of Italian exhibitors - about 150, one of the biggest foreign delegations. "ITMA, both the European version and the Asian one, is a great opportunity for technology suppliers and textile operators to meet. ITMA Asia 2005 has repeated the success of the first edition, in terms of both exhibitors and visitors". This confirms, Banfi continued, that the decision by CEMATEX, the European Textile Machinery Association, to hold an ITMA Trade Fair in Asia was a correct one.
