A rich and varied program of events was delivered at the recent joint Fashion Week/World Boutique event in Hong Kong, demonstrating a cross-section of labels and young designers' work with supporting seminars, mini shows and the all-important Contest to determine who would carry the creative accolade for 2005. Andrew Leung, Chairman of HKTDC Garment Advisory Committee, at the Joint Opening Ceremony commented on the challenges of trade liberalisation which faced the territory in January 2005, and noted the importance of the events in providing a forum for exchange of ideas on market trends and the "hot topics" affecting the industry.
