AATCC has named William Hogue Stewart Jr. of Milliken Research Corp. recipient of The Henry E. Mill-son Award for Invention. The award, established in 1979, recognizes outstanding contributions to textile wet processing technology. A native of Nichols, S.C., Stewart received a BS in electrical engineering in 1959 from The Citadel, an MS in 1961 from the University of Cincinnati, and a PhD in 1964 from Clemson University. In 1964, he worked at the Lewis Research Center, NASA, as a physicist until he joined Milliken Research Corp. in 1966 as a physicist. Currently, he is a senior scientist for Milliken.
