During the financial year 2006-07, the Company improved its turnover to Rs 18697 Lacs from Rs 14716 Lacs in the corresponding previous year. The operating profit and PBDT were also higher as compared to the previous year. These results were achieved after considering the loss due to strike/ lock out at Medak Unit for 30 days and at Doubling Unit for 34 days during the financial year under review. In addition, the Power Cost has gone up due to increase in tariff in Maharashtra/power cut in Andhra Pradesh for some part of the year resulting in dependence on high cost captive power generation. The interest costs have also gone up significantly due to increase in LIBOR/PLR rates of the Banks. The Spinning unit as well as Yarn Processing Unit are expected to perform better in the current financial year.
