Over the past 40 years, significant changes have occurred in laminating technology, brought about by a series of product developments and legislative pressures. Solvent-based adhesives are expensive, as well as being hazardous from a toxicological and fire-risk point of view, and at last, governments around the world are engaged in eliminating the use of such materials because of the environmental pollution problem.
