After the success-studded start in autumn 2009, the second Istanbul Fashion Week took place from 3rd to 6th February 2006 in 'Santral Istanbul', the old power plant restored and converted into an art gallery. The organizers of the event are the Turkish Exporters' Association for Textile and Apparel (ITKIB), Fashion Designers Association and the Istanbul Moda Academy. This year, the mega city Istanbul is one of the European capitals of culture appointed by the European Council.%Nach dem erfolgreichen Start im Herbst 2009 findet die zweite Istanbul Fashion Week vom 3. bis 6. Februar 2006 im restaurierten und zur Kunsthalle umgebauten, ehemaligen Elektrizit?tswerk ,Santral Istanbul' statt. Organisatoren des Events sind der türkische Verband der Exporteure für Textil und Bekleidung (ITKIB), die Fashion Designers Association und die Istanbul Moda Academy. In diesem Jahr ist die Metropole Istanbul eine der vom europ?ischen Rat ausgerufenen Kulturhauptst?dte Europas.
