It was only a few seasons ago when many declared the middle markets for dead. They are now coming back to life with vengeance. That is the opinion of the President of the GfK Vereins Peter Zühlsdorf. On 9 July, the 60th GfK conference took place in Nuremberg. The subject 'Consumption and Communication in the Middle Markets' attracted about 500 marketing experts from at home and abroad. One thing is clear, since 2009, middle market brands have started to see an increase in the market share and this is continuing into 2010.
