Many researchers aimed their works at the structure of the woven fabric, which describes how the warps and the wefts interlace in the three-dimensional (3D) space. The structure of the woven fabric affects the mechanical properties, thermal properties, and aesthetical effects of the fabrics. Peirce1 proposed the theory of the fabric geometry, then Kemp, Hamilton, Love, Ellis, and Hearle extended his theory.2 Traditionally, the slicing technology is used to validate the theory.
