摘要

Nature organizes colour in the rainbow, in the gradation of hues in a sunset. Such blending is definitely related to natural phenomenon and has a scientific basis. Blending creates smooth transition between two or more colours. It is an advanced technique of painting which gives the freedom to experiment with colours and to express the creativity. Various blending techniques of fabric painting such as wet-on-wet, salt effect, water lines on dry background, stripes painted on wet background, pencil tyeing, dry brush, water drops on wet background, wet lines on wet background, scrunch effect and thread painting techniques were combined together with geometrical shapes to create beautiful and interesting designs for dupattas.
