Electrification of powertrain continues, and is set to continue. Whilst there has been an inevitably slow take-up of fully battery electric vehicles (BEV) by consumers, each generation of BEV is winning over more of us as each generation brings greater range and ease of use. Certainly the Nissan Leaf has brought us volume BEV's.the i3 has brought EV's the prestige of BMW engineering, and Tesla has introduced fresh thinking with the Model S.We are perhaps cynical of manufacturer marketing and advertising, but as more friends and colleagues give positive feedback on the benefits of these vehicles, more and more people will adopt them. I myself keep an eye open for them and I see a BEV nearly every day on my commute to Thatcham.
